This Privacy Policy applies to TalkToYou - Journal ("App"), developed by Joaquin Arino ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how and why data is collected and used.

Information We Collect

User Interaction Analytics

We collect limited analytics data to understand how users interact with the app and to improve functionality and user experience.

This data is collected using PostHog and includes:

• App interactions (such as feature usage, screen views, and button taps)
• Basic device and app information (e.g. app version, OS version)
• A pseudonymous unique identifier (UUID) assigned to each user

The UUID allows us to analyze usage patterns over time and is considered linked to the user’s identity under applicable privacy definitions. We do not use this identifier to directly identify you by name, email address, or real-world identity.

Subscription Information

For premium features, we use RevenueCat as our payment processor. RevenueCat collects:

• App User ID (for subscription and entitlement management)
• Transaction information (such as transaction ID and subscription status)
• Basic device information required for subscription management

Local Data Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:

• App preferences and settings
• Premium status indicators
• User-generated content stored locally within the app

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Analyze user interaction with the app
• Improve features, usability, and performance
• Process and verify subscription status
• Provide and maintain premium features

We do not use analytics data for advertising, profiling across apps, or selling user data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• PostHog – for user interaction analytics and product improvement
• RevenueCat – for payment processing and subscription management

These services process data on our behalf and are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not share data with third parties for advertising or data brokerage purposes.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• Analytics data is collected using pseudonymous identifiers
• Payment information is handled securely by RevenueCat
• Local app data remains on your device

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
